Based on what we had covered in the previous class, the quiz involved camera shots.
Our assignment was to create a visual story using the shots we had studied. We were offered the choice to choose a water bottle, pen, or stuffed animal as a character. We had to properly identify the types of shots we would be using and use each determined shot in line with its intended representation, which was an important and essential part of this task. In addition to the ten shots that were required for our production, my teammate and I could personally select five more shots to include.
When approached for this assignment, we decided to do a simple but understandable idea. We chose a water bottle to be a student. Our idea was to tell a story about the water bottle's first day of high school. I decided that an establishing shot was essential to our idea to let the audience acknowledge where the water bottles started. My favorite shot was the over-the-shoulder shot because it shows a glimpse of what the water bottle is seeing. I believe instead of an extreme long shot; we could've done just a long shot because the story looks confusing if you don't pay attention to the little details. Overall, our project was simple and made sense, but a shot change would've made it very clear and understandable.
