Today! My partner and I finally got the idea if what the plot is going to be for our film opening and what’s it’s going to be about.
Idea:
The first shot is going to be a black screen and after a few second after it will then reveal the title. We do not have a title as yet but in the background you can hear wave, talking, ocean waves, and seagulls.My partner and I wanted people to visualize what the settings will look like before seeing it. I wanted the viewers to be curious and thinking of what scene could possibly be.
The opening shot is going to be an older sister and a younger sister running in the sand you can still hear the background. The first shot is also on a digital camera giving a visual of her and her sister having fun then on the bottom there will be one credit that will be shown. Then the next shot will be cutting to different shots of them on the beach. We will try to use the rule of thirds to better incorporate the credits.
The next scene will take place at a house. The older sister is looking at herself in the mirror. It fits to a tracking shot of her walking Iver to her bed and then she looks at pictures of her and her sister on the wall. This will include close ups of her looks of her looking at the pictures.
The next scene is her sister reaching out to her but her hand is faded or holy this shot is an over the shoulder shot. Then she looks back and it’s a wide but no one is there.
The finally shot would be her friend opening the door asking “ what are you doing.” But t the same tie, the younger sister would be next to her friend also asking “what are you doing”. This is a generally idea of what we have planned for our film opening there might be changes along the way but this is mainly what we will be trying to follow. I will keep the blog updated if any changes are made.
Inspiration:
The inspiration was for a music video that was produced by our schools tv production students. The music video incorporated vibrant and vivid shots of the beach which we really liked and we wanted to have a visual somewhat similar. The whole music video colorful and I loved the many different shots they incorporated.
