Group Meeting #2

Hey Cambridge, yesterday in class, my teacher put us into groups and had us do a group meeting with my classmates. It actually went really well. Everyone came in with ideas, we listened to each other, and the meeting felt productive.

Each person shared a different story idea:

Julia said she was doing a suspense drama about a girl remembering her sister. As the film opening continues, she reveals her sister’s death and clues on a wall like a detective lead her toward confronting the person responsible for murdering her sister.

The next person was Taryn did a sci-fi idea about a deadly disease spreading across the world. Almost everyone dies, except for one survivor who ends up alone on a beach, trying to stay alive and figure out what comes next. She is going to do a flashback about her family and happy memories before the tragic event.

Caesar came up with a thriller where two friends are relaxing on the couch when the TV suddenly turns off. When it turns back on, there’s an emergency broadcast warning about a dangerous person nearby, and moments later, the door starts rattling.

Ella presented a teen drama about a girl who feels neglected by her parents. Her dad isn’t around, and her mom only provides a place to live. On her birthday, she plans everything herself and spends it alone, eventually learning to find herself through an important conversation.

Daniel’s idea was a coming-of-age story about a neglected teen. You never see the parents, but their absence is clear. The boy sneaks out his window, rebels, uses drugs, and runs away getting picked up by his friends.

Lastly, Andres shared a mystery adventure with two perspectives. One follows the antagonist, Shade, a well-known thief who steals for no clear reason. The other follows detectives trying to track him down and uncover why he does what he does, starting with Shade walking into a home.

Overall, the group meeting was successful, and for the CCR most of my classmates didn’t have an idea if what they wanted to do but they did say they were either going to do a podcast or talkshow most of them. I wanted to do a TikTok type of interview and make it serious, funny, and entertaining.
