Hey Cambridge!! So today we had to choose from a blog topic list and there were so many different topics to choose from to write about. I decided to go with costuming options because I have a perfect idea of how I want the characters in my film opening to wear that represents them.

Costume Ideas:

My first idea is for the main character and her sister. These two characters I would like for them to have white flowy long dresses this represents purity because as the film opening progresses you can see way the decision of white flowy dresses is important. The white dresses show how the characters are angelic and innocent. This is being taken place in a beach, so I think the white dresses is perfect for the setting. There will be side characters like friends, and they will be wearing colors like black, red, and general dark colors instead of light colors such as white, yellow, and orange. This is because these characters aren't psychically unstable, so the colors represent a sense of seriousness and boldness. The use of these colors as the opening processes viewers will get a sense that the white dresses shown in the begins and the color getting dark will leave the viewers asking why it got so dark and what happened? This is all part of the costume designing so hopefully everything comes along as planned.

My second idea was very different; it's a kid who is in high school I'm not exactly sure what the idea is but I'm sure I want it to be taken either at home or school. For the costume design it will be causal, clothing that teens wear like, sweaters, hoodies,leggings. Basic wear on an everyday basis for shoes just causal shoes. The clothes are either neutral or colorful which will set the atmosphere.

To sum it up, both ideas incorporate different aesthetics but it all they will be causal and not over the top with the costume options. It is simple but shows character and I am very excited to see which option I decide to go with in the future. I am thrilled but nervous as well, I definitely do want to have casual simple designs.
