CCR Research #3

I’ve completed half of my film opening and the #1 CCR reflection, this week I will be completing the  second CCR and talk about the what my ideas are.

Today I am going to be talking about question #3

How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

For this question it is important to:
  • Reflect on how your process evolved throughout the production
  • Discuss your research and planning
  • Discuss your approach to production what you had to change or adapt
  • End with reflection on where you started and where you ended
For the CCR Script

At the beginning of the project, I started by doing research and planning. My partner and I looked at film openings and different camera techniques to understand how directors create mood and tell a story. We also planned our scenes, shots, and locations we filmed at Hollywood beach and a storyboard, so we had a clear idea of how we wanted our film opening to look. This process didn’t go as planned my partner wasn’t here so I was stressed and we needed to film since we were behind, but I had help from my other friends and it all worked out.

During the production process, my skills improved as I researched different camera angles, and movements like tracking shots and close-ups. I also learned more about editing, including how to cut clips smoothly and add sound effects to create a better atmosphere and doing slow motion. While filming, we also had to adapt and make small changes depending on lighting, timing, and what worked best on camera. We filmed during Sunset, so we had to act fast and be quick

Overall, my production skills developed a lot throughout this project. At the start, I had already had basic knowledge of filming and editing, but by the end I became more confident with planning shots, using editing techniques, and creating a more cinematic film opening.
